Robert J. Sutherland

WA State House Representative

I am honored and privileged to represent the 39th District. We are facing some challenging times in Washington state. The Legislature must return to fiscal responsibility and sustainable budgets. I am focused on cutting through government bureaucracy, reducing state property taxes, making our communities and schools safer, and dramatically improving our transportation system, especially along the I-5 corridor, WA-9, US Route 2, SR-522 and WA-20. Finally, with our economic downturn we must encourage small business growth to strengthen our local economy and bring jobs back to our communities. I am your voice in Olympia. I encourage you to stay in touch and contact me with your questions, concerns, ideas and suggestions. Thank you for the opportunity to represent you.

 Our thoughts on Robert Sutherland

  • ment he will tell you “to protect the rights of the individual citizen. “ He puts action to those words by fighting the bureaucrats in Olympia regardless of party. Is a bill is right, is it constitutional and is it good for our children and their future? Those are the thresholds in which Sutherland views the bills he writes or votes on. Because of his relentless efforts to protect the citizens of not only our district but also of the citizens of the entire state of Washington, the Snohomish County Republican Party Precinct Committee Officers of the 39th voted to exclusively endorse Robert J. Sutherland for Congress. We do not believe we should be playing politics with so much on the line this coming election cycle. While other candidates from both parties vye for his seat (which is rarely used anyway because he is never on his backside anyway) Robert remains rock solid, on his feet tackling the issues the people do care about. Whether it’s fighting to abolish the State property tax for ALL citizens, Insisting that election integrity while, somewhat inconvenient for both parties, is a primary concern for most people anywhere on the political spectrum, needs to be reviewed and addressed with new legislation moving forward or fighting for the rights of you as an American Citizen to be able to choose what goes into your own body (as a bio-chemist until retirement) or the minds and bodies of our children, Robert continues these fights on a full time, year around basis. No other job inside the government or out, to distract him or take away his focus. Robert’s work ethic and commitment to doing what is right can get him into trouble from time to time as he often remains a pain in the “Establishment politicians” sides as he doesn’t back down from a fight. Robert says what he means and does what he says which puts him head and shoulders above most if not all of his competitors. Side note, it is no secret that one recent confrontation in Olympia got him in a bit of hot water in a not so friendly exchange of words, we have gotten to know Robert’s character and his passion for doing the work we put him in office to do, we see much of the roadblocks and undue attention on Robert the candidate as the political elite taking every stride to attack the fairly recent newcomer to congress. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and sometimes that gets a bit messy. As one recent speaker, a fellow congressman’s sentiments sums it up best, when Robert speaks on the floor of congress, he does not just do it for his own LD. Robert is a voice for all of us, he has the courage to stand up and take the slings and arrows most will not. Robert J. Sutherland has proven himself a warrior for the cause of freedom, liberty and justice for all who live here which stands to reason why he remains our pick.

Resolutions passed concerning this race.

  • Speech given by PCO and Sutherland campaign volunteer John Moselage to the body before the motion to endorse:

“In Olympia legislators talk about pleasing the “Stakeholders”.  You and I are NOT on that list.

    1) During Robert’s time as a State Representative of the 39th from 2018 to 2022 he has consistently put you and I first.

    2) When the Governor abused his power during Covid telling Churches to shut down he represented us by suing the Governor.

    3) After the questionable 2020 election Robert represented the people’s interests by submitting four pieces of legislation addressing weaknesses in our election system.

    4) He submitted legislation to ELIMINATE Property Taxes by using surplus money so we can actually own our homes and not get priced out due to fluctuations in real estate prices especially for people on a fixed income.

    5) I never had to worry that he would put me on the hook to fund the wellbeing of 10,000 military aged males crossing our borders daily.

At the end of the day I knew Robert would do the right thing when nobody was looking instead of constantly having to hold his feet to the fire and isn’t that a refreshing change.”

The 39th Legislative District of Snohomish County Unanimously endorsed Rober J. Sutherland for State Representative Pos 1.

    March 25th, 2024.

  • “Whereas Washington State Representatives Sam Low and Caroline Eslick, from the 39th Legislative District, sponsored SHB 2368, a bill that seeks to fund illegal “immigrants” invading our Country by crossing over our sovereign borders in violation of our laws, and which encourages undesirables like drug cartel members, human sex traffickers, terrorists, etc. to come to Washington State in order to get their “free” cash, housing, food, medical insurance, etc.,

And whereas this Bill does NOT represent the will of the 39th LD Republicans because it undermines not only the rule of law in our Country and in our state, but it also undermines the ‘pro-American’ Republican Party platform here in the 39th LD,

And whereas, Representatives Low and Eslick were the only two “republicans” in Olympia who sided with the ‘anti-American’ radical left Democrat Party by sponsoring this Bill,

Therefore, be it resolved that the Snohomish County 39th Legislative District Republican Committee strongly censures both Low and Eslick for their reckless, dangerous and anti-Republican behavior.”

    March 25th, 2024

  • Snohomish County Republican Committee: The censure of 39th LD Representatives Caroline Eslick and Sam Low for their sponsorship of SHB 2368 Facilitating and Encouraging Illegal migration into Washington State Using Taxpayer dollars

Whereas SHB 2368 has recently been passed by the Democrat-majority legislature in Olympia which authorizes the Department of Social and Health Services to coordinate statewide efforts to use tax-payer money to pay for and support illegal migrants in WA state to gain housing, education, job training, food assistance, etc. and

Whereas offering tax-payer money and services incentivizes foreigners to enter our Country and State illegally, undermining the rule of law, and

Whereas SHB 2368 enables, encourages and condones illegal migration into our State, sex trafficking of children, distribution of illegal and harmful drugs by drug cartel members, and foreign terrorist groups who seek to harm innocent Americans, and

Whereas SHB 2368 has the potential to allow the DSHS and Non-Government Organizations to direct illegal migrants to live in strategically targeted political districts for the purpose of altering election outcomes, and

Whereas the Snohomish County Republican Committee fully supports legal immigration into our Country, our State, and our County.

Now, therefore be it resolved, the Snohomish County Republican Committee herby censures Washington State Representatives Caroline Eslick and Sam Low for their sponsorship of SHB 2368.

    April 16, 2024

  • Resolution to Censure State Representatives Carolyn Eslick and Sam Low

Whereas SHB 2368 is a new proposed law by the Washington State legislature that authorizes the Department of Social and Health Services to coordinate statewide efforts to “assist” Immigrants and Refugees with appropriated tax-payor cash and services.

Whereas Legislative District 39 State House Representatives Carolyn Eslick and Sam Low Co-sponsored SHB 2368 along with several State Democrats.

Whereas State Representatives Carolyn Eslick and Sam Low and the State House Democrats voted in favor of SHB 2368.

Whereas at a townhall held in Concrete on February 17, 2024, Representatives Eslick and Low were asked to explain their actions, and they took the opportunity to continue their support of SHB 2368.

Whereas SHB 2368 puts the infrastructure in place to enable, encourage, and condone illegal immigration, criminal trafficking, and human smuggling into Washington State.

Whereas SHB 2368 will increase pressure on housing, healthcare, and schools and increase the potential for more violence, crime, and deadly drug distribution (including Fentanyl) contributing to the degradation of Washington State.

Whereas SHB 2368 creates more financial burden on the taxpayers and adds to the unending tax-payor funded government bureaucracy in Washington State.

Whereas SHB 2368 conflicts with Republican and Conservative principles, and the Skagit County Republican Party platform.

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved; on February 27, 2024, the Skagit County Republican Party Central Committee hereby formally Censures Legislative District 39 State Representatives Carolyn Eslick and Sam Low.

The published Resolution can be found on the Skagit County Republicans here.

Bernard Moody State Senate

As a former Marine, a Corrections Professional and a member of our community since 1997, now serving as a Sergeant with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, I am running for Senate in the 38th Legislative District to truly represent the people's needs, voices and will in Olympia.
When government becomes bloated it becomes less effective and increases the risk of being mismanaged. Most recently, our freedoms have been impaired, and in some cases removed. Our Constitutional Rights must be upheld. I will fight for the right to live safe and productive lives for ourselves and our families.

In the Senate, I will serve as your voice, advocate your will to my peers, and to represent everyone living in the 38th district.

Please vote for Bernard Moody for your State Senator for District 38.

 Our thoughts on Bernard

  • servant leadership. Simply have a conversation with the guy. Down to earth, humble, and easy to talk to. He has worked as a marine, and under the sheriff in the department of corrections. If ANYONE understands the criminal justice system and it's flaws, Bernard sees it first hand day in and day out. Olympia needs a person with the heart and drive Bernard has to get the reform and representation we need in this state.
